Dog Days Studio Sessions are for dog parents who want real portraits, not stiff poses or forced smiles, but actual personality. The kind of image where your dog is mid-lick on a giant lollipop or launching themselves at a ball and looking absolutely unhinged in the best possible way.

We spend 40 minutes together in a professional studio with vibrant backdrops, fun props, and zero pressure. Your dog doesn't have to be trained, polished, or cooperative. They just have to show up.

Your session moves through a mix of setups designed to capture your dog's full range of ridiculous, wonderful personality. We follow their energy and see what happens.

  • 01: Studio Portraits

    Classic, clean and timeless. Your dog against a vibrant backdrop. Sometimes simple is everything.

  • 02: Giant Lollipop

    The hero prop. A rainbow lollipop your dog will immediately try to destroy. Chaos ensues. We love it.

  • 03: Bubble Photography

    Dogs and bubbles are a combination that never fails. Curious, confused, or completely unbothered — all three are perfect.

  • 04: Action Shots

    Jumping for a ball or favorite toy. Pure joy, captured mid-air. This one never gets old.

For the Cat Curious

Yes, Cats are welcome here.

A small number of spots are open to feline friends. Same setup, same props, same vibrant backdrops — just with a little more attitude and zero guaranteed cooperation. Dog Days cat sessions work best for confident, curious cats who walk into a room like they own it. If your cat is more of a hide-under-the-bed personality, a studio might not be their happy place. Your session fee confirms your spot. Any add-ons are collected the day of your session.

Flamingo or Tangelo. Your Call. Both backdrop colors are available at every session. Choose your preference when you book and we'll have it ready for you.

Flamingo - The Pink Paper

A warm coral pink that photographs beautifully against every coat color. Bold, fun, and unexpectedly flattering on any dog.

Tangelo - The Orange Paper

A warm orange that radiates pure summer energy. Vibrant, bright, and impossible to scroll past in any gallery.

How it Works

  • 01 / Pick your day and color.

    Choose Flamingo or Tangelo, select your time slot, and pay to lock it in. That's it. You'll receive a confirmation and a contract — nothing else to figure out until the day of your session.

  • 02 / Show up and have fun.

    Come to LightBox Studio on your chosen date. Bring treats, bring your dog's favorite toy, and leave the rest to us. We handle the setup, the props, the lighting, and the chaos.

  • 03 / Choose your favorites before you leave.

    We shoot tethered so your images appear on a display in real time. At the end of your session you'll pick your 10 favorites on the spot and grab any extras at $30 each. Your edited gallery arrives shortly after.

Hey, I’m Val!

I photograph dogs the way they actually are.

Not the version that sits perfectly still and stares at the camera on command. The real one. The one who steals food off the counter and has opinions about bath time and makes you laugh every single day.

I'm a dog mom, a pet photographer based in Clovis, and yes — also a school psychologist. Which means I spend my weekdays supporting kids and my weekends convincing dogs to do ridiculous things in front of a camera. Both jobs require patience, treats, and a very good sense of humor.

Dog Days was created because summer in Fresno is brutal and your dog deserves a portrait session that doesn't involve melting in a field. Come inside. Let's make something great.

 Questions? We’ve got answers.

  • Not at all. Wiggly, distracted, and easily overstimulated are all welcome here. We adjust to your dog, not the other way around.

  • Yes. We shoot tethered so images appear on a screen in real time during your session. You'll choose your 10 favorites before walking out the door and can add extras on the spot for $30 each.

  • Your dog, their highest value treats, a favorite toy if they have one, and a leash. We handle everything else.

  • Payment in full is collected at booking and is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a future session date if needed.

  • Yes! Select the 2 Pets option at $425 when booking.

  • Fully edited images are delivered via private online gallery within 7 days of your session.

  • We go at their pace. Sessions are flexible and we'll slow down, take breaks, or adjust the setup as needed. Your dog's comfort always comes first.

  • LightBox Studio, 1450 Clovis Ave. Suite 211, Clovis CA 93612. Parking is available on site.
