Your Dog has Personality. Let’s actually capture it.
Dog Days Studio Sessions are for dog parents who want real portraits, not stiff poses or forced smiles, but actual personality. The kind of image where your dog is mid-lick on a giant lollipop or launching themselves at a ball and looking absolutely unhinged in the best possible way.
We spend 40 minutes together in a professional studio with vibrant backdrops, fun props, and zero pressure. Your dog doesn't have to be trained, polished, or cooperative. They just have to show up.
Your session moves through a mix of setups designed to capture your dog's full range of ridiculous, wonderful personality. We follow their energy and see what happens.

01: Studio Portraits
Classic, clean and timeless. Your dog against a vibrant backdrop. Sometimes simple is everything.

02: Giant Lollipop
The hero prop. A rainbow lollipop your dog will immediately try to destroy. Chaos ensues. We love it.

03: Bubble Photography
Dogs and bubbles are a combination that never fails. Curious, confused, or completely unbothered — all three are perfect.

04: Action Shots
Jumping for a ball or favorite toy. Pure joy, captured mid-air. This one never gets old.
For the Cat Curious
Yes, Cats are welcome here.
A small number of spots are open to feline friends. Same setup, same props, same vibrant backdrops — just with a little more attitude and zero guaranteed cooperation. Dog Days cat sessions work best for confident, curious cats who walk into a room like they own it. If your cat is more of a hide-under-the-bed personality, a studio might not be their happy place. Not sure? Email me before booking and we'll figure it out together.

How it Works
Hey, I’m Val!
I photograph dogs the way they actually are.
Not the version that sits perfectly still and stares at the camera on command. The real one. The one who steals food off the counter and has opinions about bath time and makes you laugh every single day.
I'm a dog mom, a pet photographer based in Clovis, and yes — also a school psychologist. Which means I spend my weekdays supporting kids and my weekends convincing dogs to do ridiculous things in front of a camera. Both jobs require patience, treats, and a very good sense of humor.
Dog Days was created because summer in Fresno is brutal and your dog deserves a portrait session that doesn't involve melting in a field. Come inside. Let's make something great.

Not at all. Wiggly, distracted, and easily overstimulated are all welcome here. We adjust to your dog, not the other way around.

Yes. We shoot tethered so your images appear on a screen in real time -- you get to watch every shot as it happens. After your session we'll send you a proof gallery to browse at your own pace. Choose your 10 favorites and add any extras at $30 each. Your fully edited images are delivered within 7 days of your selections

Your dog, their highest value treats, a favorite toy if they have one, and a leash. We handle everything else.

Payment in full is collected at booking and is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a future session date if needed.

Fully edited images are delivered via private online gallery within 7 days of your selections.

We go at their pace. Sessions are flexible and we'll slow down, take breaks, or adjust the setup as needed. Your dog's comfort always comes first.
