Frequently Asked Questions
+ I feel so awkward in photos — what if I hate being in front of the camera?
You’re not alone. Most of my clients say the same thing at first. But with a little direction (and maybe a dog or two), you’ll be surprised how natural it feels. I’ll walk you through every step so you’re never left wondering what to do.
+ Do I need to have a pet-based business?
Not at all. I’ve worked with podcasters, LEPs, SLPs, dog walkers, and groomers — the common thread is a love for connection, community, and showing the heart behind what they do. Whether your dog is part of your brand or just part of your life, we can include them in a way that feels true to you.
+ Can I include my own dog in the session?
Yes! I love featuring your own pets when it makes sense for your brand. And if you need a dog model, I’ve got a database of pros who are ready for their close-up.
+ When is payment due?
Half of your session fee is due at the time of booking to hold your date. The remaining balance is due the day before your shoot.
+ What’s included in the session?
Every session includes a strategy call, shot list planning, up to 3 hours of photography at 1–2 locations, and a library of 100+ professionally edited images — plus 10 short-form videos if you need them.
+ What if I just need a few quick photos?
I offer Brand Minis a couple times a year for that exact reason. These smaller sessions include a set of curated images and are perfect if you’re just getting started. Join the waitlist to be the first to know when they open.
+ Do you help with what to wear or bring?
Absolutely. You’ll get a prep guide with wardrobe tips, prop suggestions, and everything else you need to feel ready. We’ll plan it all together during your strategy call.
+ How far in advance should I book?
Ideally, at least 6–8 weeks out. This gives us time to lock down locations, plan your outfits and props, and create a shot list that fits your brand perfectly.
