The photos you’ve been meaning to get

Bark in the Park Mini Sessions

20 minutes at the park for a portrait you'll actually want on the wall, in a card, or right next to everyone else's family photos this holiday season.

Held only once a year, with two dates and a limited number of spots, so it's worth grabbing yours early.

Yes, your dog counts

Your dog is your kid.

It's time you had the portrait to prove it.

You've watched everyone else pull out framed photos of their kids around the holidays. This year, you get to do the same, except yours has four legs and a personality twice the size. A portrait of your dog, and of the two of you together is something you'll actually be proud to set out at home or bring to the family table.

Leashes stay on and you'd never know

Every dog stays on-leash for safety. It's edited out after.

What you get back looks effortless, like your dog just happened to be standing there off-leash. I work at your dog's pace too, keeping some distance with a longer lens at first and closing in once they're comfortable.

Why Fall

Book now, and you're set before the holidays even start

Your gallery is back well ahead of the holiday rush, in time for cards, gifts, or just having something decent on hand instead of scrambling in December for a passable photo of your dog in a Santa hat.

The Location

Woodward Park in Fresno, CA

Big evergreen sequoias, morning light that stays gold the whole time, and open grass fields if your dog wants to show off their agility skills mid-shoot.

Worried about the leash? Don't be, leashes stay on for safety and get edited out later, so what shows up in your gallery looks effortless.

Hey there! I’m Val!

I’m Pet Obsessed. Just like you.

I know exactly how deep that bond runs and how much joy your dog brings into your life. My job is to freeze that joy in time, so you have something beautiful to hold onto even as the seasons change.

By day I'm a school psychologist. That work has taught me how to read anxiety, build trust fast, and keep a nervous system calm, skills I bring straight into every session with a dog who isn't sure about the camera yet.

Bold and bouncy or shy and soulful, I'll help your dog feel at ease in front of the camera, so you walk away with the goofy head tilt, the mid-zoom blur of joy, the exact look they give you every single day.

From Zoomies to Gallery Delivery

 Frequently Asked Questions

+ My dog can’t be off-leash? Is that ok?

Absolutely. Most dogs I photograph stay on-leash the entire session for safety. I’ll take care of removing the leash in your final images—so all you’ll see is a polished portrait full of personality.

+ What if it rains? What if I need to reschedule?

If weather gets in the way, I’ll do my best to reschedule your session. And if we can’t make it work, you’ll receive a full refund—no stress.

+ Where will we have our session?

All Bark in the Park sessions will be held at Woodward Park in Fresno, CA on: October 10 & October 24, 2026. You’ll select your preferred time when booking.

+ What if my dog doesn’t sit?

No worries! I’ve worked with shy pups, wiggle-butts, and everything in between. While it’s great if your dog knows a sit or stay, I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to create images you’ll love—no matter their obedience level.

+ Can I be in the images, too?

Yes! You’re part of the story. Family members are welcome to join in on the fun and the frame.

+ Can I bring more than one dog to our session?

Yep! Your session fee covers up to two dogs from the same household. Got more than two? Reach out, and we’ll chat options.
